How Pain Relates To Toxicity

By Dr. Christy Jenkins, BCND | Detox | Pain Relief | Functional Wellness

1. Toxicity Can Cause Inflammation?

Which Leads to Pain

When the body is exposed to toxins (from processed foods, chemicals, heavy metals, medications,

or environmental pollutants), it often reacts with inflammation. Chronic inflammation is one of the root causes of pain, especially in the joint and bones.

2. Toxins Overload the Liver and Kidneys

These organs are responsible for detoxifying your system. When they’re overburdened, waste and toxins can accumulate, triggering aches, fatigue, and systemic discomfort.

toThis is why many people

feel headaches, joint pain, or digestive cramps when they're toxic.

3. Toxicity Affects Nerve Function

Toxins, especially heavy metals or mold, can disrupt the nervous system, causing nerve pain, tingling, or even numbness. This is a sign that your body’s internal signals are being interfered with by toxins.

4. Pain Is a Signal That Something Needs to Be Cleared

From a holistic view, pain is not just a symptom, it’s a message. It can be your body’s way of

saying, I’m inflamed, I’m holding onto waste, I need support.? Detoxing can often reduce or

eliminate chronic pain because it removes the source of inflammation.
